Dusra Kalma with Urdu & English Translation
The Second Kalma, also known as Kalma Shahadat, is a declaration of faith and testimony that confirms a Muslim’s belief in the Oneness of Allah and the Prophethood of Muhammad (ﷺ). The word “Shahadat” means “witness” or “testimony.” Through this Kalma, a believer bears witness that only Allah deserves to be worshipped and that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is His final Messenger.

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah; He is One and has no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and Messenger.
Meaning and Importance
Kalma Shahadat is a complete proof of the faith of a Muslim. It is the verbal expression of belief in Tauheed (oneness of Allah) and Risalat (Prophetism).
It reminds believers that worship belongs only to Allah, and that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is the chosen messenger sent to mankind. Every Muslim reaffirms this Kalma each day thru prayer and remembrance, strengthening their connection to Islam and the divine truth.
