Dua e Hajat with Urdu & English Translation

Dua e Hajat is a special prayer that Muslims read when they have an important need or when they are going through a problem. It is often read after offering two rakats of nafl (optional prayer) with full faith and a clean heart.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، أَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ، وَالْغَنِيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ، وَالسَّلَامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ، لَا تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْبًا إِلَّا غَفَرْتَهُ، وَلَا هَمًّا إِلَّا فَرَّجْتَهُ، وَلَا حَاجَةً هِيَ لَكَ رِضًا إِلَّا قَضَيْتَهَا، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ۔

اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ نہایت بردبار اور کرم والا ہے۔ اللہ پاک ہے، جو عظیم عرش کا رب ہے۔ تمام تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کا پالنے والا ہے۔ اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیری رحمت کے اسباب اور تیری مغفرت کے فیصلے مانگتا ہوں۔ ہر نیکی میں کامیابی اور ہر گناہ سے حفاظت چاہتا ہوں۔ میرے کسی گناہ کو باقی نہ رہنے دے مگر اسے بخش دے، اور کوئی غم باقی نہ چھوڑ مگر اسے دور کر دے، اور کوئی ایسی حاجت جو تیرے رضا کے مطابق ہو، اسے پوری کر دے۔ اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے رب! مجھ پر رحم فرما۔

There is no god except Allah, the Forbearing and the Generous. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Great Throne. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the causes of Your mercy and the means of Your forgiveness. Grant me benefit from every good deed and protection from every sin. Do not leave any sin of mine without forgiving it, nor any worry without removing it, and fulfill every need of mine that pleases You. O Most Merciful of those who show mercy, have mercy upon me.

How and When to Perform It

Steps to Perform Salatul Hajat:

1. Make an intention (Niyyah): Decide in your heart that you are praying to ask Allah for help.
2. Perform Wudu (Ablution): Make sure you are clean and pure.
3. Pray two Rak‘ahs of Nafl (optional) prayer: In the first rak‘ah, recite Surah Al-Fatiha and any short Surah. Do the same in the second rak‘ah.
4. After finishing the prayer, praise Allah and send Durood (salutation) upon the Prophet ﷺ.
5. Recite the special Dua e Hajat and then ask Allah for your personal need in your own words.

Best Time to Read It:

You can read Dua e Hajat any time of the day or night, except during the prohibited times (sunrise, sunset, and when the sun is at its highest).
However, the best time is the last part of the night (before Fajr), as this is when Allah is closest to His servants and most accepting of prayers.
