Dua Abu Darda (R.A.) with Urdu & English Translation

Dua of Hazrat Abu Darda (رضی اللہ عنہ) is a special prayer which was told by Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to Hazrat Abu Darda (R.A.) for safety and protection from accidents. It is usually recited in the morning and evening and it serves as a firewall against harm, trouble, and danger.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَأَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ كَانَ، وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ، أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي، وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا، إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ.

اے اللہ! تو میرا رب ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ میں نے تجھ پر بھروسہ کیا ہے اور تو عرشِ عظیم کا رب ہے۔ جو اللہ چاہے وہی ہوتا ہے، اور جو وہ نہ چاہے وہ نہیں ہوتا۔ اللہ کے سوا کوئی طاقت اور قوت نہیں، وہ بلند و برتر ہے۔ میں جانتا ہوں کہ اللہ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے اور اس کا علم ہر چیز پر محیط ہے۔ اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اپنی جان کے شر سے اور ہر اس جاندار کے شر سے جس کی پیشانی تیرے قبضے میں ہے۔ بے شک میرا رب سیدھے راستے پر ہے۔

O Allah! You are my Lord; there is no god except You. I have placed my complete trust in You, and You are the Lord of the Mighty Throne. Whatever You will happens, and whatever You do not will does not happen. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. I know that Allah has power over all things, and that His knowledge encompasses everything. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own soul and from the evil of every creature whose forelock is in Your control. Truly, my Lord is on the Straight Path.
