Ghusl Karne Ki Dua is an important supplication that every Muslim should know and recite before performing ghusl (ritual bath). Ghusl is a complete purification process required in Islam after janabah (impurity), menstruation, or other specific conditions. It is also Sunnah before Jumu’ah, Eid, or entering Ihram. This dua is taken from authentic supplications of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, found in Sunan Abu Dawood (Hadith No. 792) and Sahih Muslim (Hadith No. 2722).
When to Recite This Dua
- Before beginning ghusl (ritual bath) for purification.
- After completing ghusl as a supplication for Jannah (Paradise) and protection from Hellfire.
- Before Jumu’ah, Eid, or Ihram.
- Whenever taking a bath with the intention of spiritual and physical cleanliness.

Step-by-Step Sunnah Method of Ghusl
- Make Intention (Niyyah): Intend in your heart to purify yourself for the sake of Allah.
- Say Bismillah before starting.
- Wash both hands three times.
- Clean private parts thoroughly.
- Perform Wudu (ablution) as executed for Salah.
- Pour water on the top 3 instances, making sure it reaches the roots.
- Wash the complete body, beginning from the right aspect, then the left.
- Avoid wasting water and entire the ghusl with sincerity.
