In these trying times, as our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Gaza face immense hardship and oppression, it is our duty as Muslims to stand by them and support them through the most powerful weapon we have – du’a (supplication).

While words may fail us in the face of such immense suffering, we can turn to the guidance of the Qur’an and Sunnah to find du’as that capture the essence of our heartfelt pleas for the people of Palestine and Gaza.

Here are 5 powerful du’as that you can recite to show your solidarity and invoke Allah’s (SWT) aid and protection for the Palestinian people:

1. Du’a for Patience and Victory

In Arabic:

رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِم صَبْراً وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَهُم وَٱنصُرْهُم عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

In Urdu:

Rabbana afrigh 'alayhim sabran wa thabbit aqdaamahum wansurhum 'ala al-qawm al-kafireen

In English:

"Our Lord! Shower them with perseverance, make their steps firm, and give them victory over the disbelieving people."

This du’a reminds us that Allah (SWT) is always with us, filling our hearts with steadfastness and granting us triumph over our oppressors.

2. Du’a for the Success of the Palestinians

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِهِم فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلأخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِهِم عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

In Urdu:

Rabbana aatihim fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqihim 'adhaab an-nar

In English:

Our Lord! Grant them the good of this world and the Hereafter, and protect them from the torment of the Fire.

There is no better supplication than to ask Allah (SWT) to grant the people of Palestine and Gaza the blessings of this life and the Hereafter and to save them from the punishment of the Hellfire.

3. Du’a for Their Protection

In Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِهِم وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِهِم وَاحْفَظْهُم مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِم وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِم وَعَنْ أَيمَانِهِم وَعَنْ شَمَائلِهِم وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِم

In Urdu:

Allahumma ustur 'awraatihim wa-aamin raw'aatihim wahfadhhum min bayni aydeehim wa min khalfihim wa 'an aymaanihim wa 'an shamaa'ilihim wa min fawqihim

In English:

O Allah, conceal their faults, calm their fears, and protect them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and from above them.

This comprehensive du’a seeks Allah’s (SWT) protection from every direction, which is a fitting supplication for the people of Gaza who are surrounded by hostility and violence.

4. Du’a When Facing an Enemy

In Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ مُجْرِيَ السَّحَابِ هَازِمَ الأَحْزَابِ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُم وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ

In Urdu:

Allahumma munzil al-kitabi saree' al-hisabi mujriya as-sahaabi hazim al-ahzaabi ihzimhum wa-zalzilhum wansurna 'alayhim

In English:

O Allah, the revealer of the Holy Book, and the swift in the reckoning, and the mover of the clouds, and the defeater of the clans; defeat them, and shake them, and grant us victory over them.

This du’a is a powerful invocation for Allah (SWT) to vanquish the enemies of the Palestinian people and grant victory to those who are oppressed.

5. Du’a to Strengthen Their Trust in Allah

In Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقهُم صِدْقَ التَوَكُّلِ عَلَيكَ وحُسْنُ الظَنِّ بِك

In Urdu:

Allahumma urzuqhum sidq at-tawakkuli 'alayka wa husn ad-dhanni bik

In English:

O Allah, grant them true reliance upon You, and good thoughts about You.

Through this du’a, we ask Allah (SWT) to strengthen the people of Palestine and Gaza in their trust and dependence on Him, and to inspire them with positive thoughts about their Lord.

Never Lose Hope in the Help of Allah

As the trials and tribulations faced by the Palestinian people continue to intensify, it can be easy to feel discouraged and lose hope. However, we must remember the words of Allah (SWT) in the Qur’an:

Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, 'When is the help of Allah?' Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.

Let us never stop making du’a for the people of Palestine and Gaza, for it is precisely in our darkest moments that the help of Allah (SWT) is closest. With unwavering faith and trust in our Lord, we can be assured that the ultimate victory will be theirs.
